Creating a personal and engaging Instagram presence to promote apartments and a love for Saint Petersburg

Overview
How do you stand out in the crowded world of Instagram while staying authentic? For Andrey and Tatiana, a couple with 35 years together and 20 years of renting experience, this meant crafting content that not only showcased their beautiful apartments but also reflected their passion for Saint Petersburg. With limited resources, the goal was to drive bookings, connect with audiences, and bring their love for the city to life—all while navigating a competitive social media landscape.
Process
I collaborated closely with Andrey and Tatiana to ensure every post reflected their story and resonated with their audience:
Strategy Development: Worked hand-in-hand with the couple to design a business-focused content strategy, combining property highlights with their unique perspective on Saint Petersburg.
Visual Style Creation: Established a cohesive visual style for their Instagram presence, building brand recognition while keeping the tone approachable and personal.
Content Ideation: Developed creative content ideas that showcased their apartments, local attractions, and their love for hosting — infusing every post with humor and warmth.
Content Production: Directed photo and video shoots, creating a library of high-quality visuals for consistent, engaging posting.
Result
The instragram account quickly gained traction. Infused with humor and love, reflecting the couple's personality, the content resonated deeply with the audience and contributed to the fun and success of the project.
Unfortunately, the project came to an end with the onset of military actions in Ukraine. The couple chose to discontinue the account as creating lighthearted content felt out of place during such challenging times. However, the impact of their Instagram presence remains strong, with followers still reaching out, lamenting the blog’s absence.
