Overview
Chancen had recently gone through a rebrand, but the website was still telling the old story.
The new identity needed to come to life online while serving two very different audiences through a single website: students looking for educational financing and institutional partners evaluating the model behind it. At the same time, the small communications team needed complete ownership of the platform, without relying on a designer for every update.
The challenge wasn’t simply to redesign the website. It was to build a flexible platform that could communicate a complex financial model, showcase impact across multiple countries, and give the team the confidence to manage and grow it independently.

Process
This was a complete redesign and rebuild, from creative direction to a production-ready Framer implementation.
Building a scalable design system
Rather than treating the website as a collection of pages, I expanded Chancen’s new visual identity into a complete web design system. Every component, layout and interaction was designed to stay consistent as the organisation grows.
Making complexity feel simple
Income Share Agreements, impact metrics and country-specific information all needed to be understood quickly by very different audiences. Through custom data visualisation, information hierarchy and storytelling, complex concepts became approachable without losing their depth.
Creating a content-first CMS
The site was built around ten interconnected CMS collections powering everything from country pages and team members to impact statistics and student stories. The structure was designed to enable the team to manage the site confidently, making updates intuitive rather than technical.
Building for discoverability
From the ground up, the website was structured for both search engines and AI answer engines, with semantic content, accessible markup and technical SEO integrated throughout.
Handing over capability, not just a website
I focused on making the team self-sufficient. Alongside documentation, I delivered hands-on website and CMS training, providing the communications team with the tools to manage and expand the platform themselves.

Result
The website now reflects the ambition of the organisation behind it. More importantly, the project delivered a platform the team genuinely owns. Chancen now manages content independently, and can expand the site and evolving the platform as the organisation grows across Africa.
That shift, from delivering assets to building capability, became one of the most rewarding outcomes of the collaboration. For me, one of the most rewarding parts of the project was the collaboration itself. Working with a team that cared deeply about both the mission and the quality of the work made every iteration stronger.

Testimonial
We recently completed a website rebrand with Ana and cannot recommend her services enough. She is a joy to work with, extremely well organised, clear and collaborative. She pours a lot of care in her projects and is able to balance creativity and efficiency really well. She truly has a great design eye and was able to elevate our branding to new heights. She is also incredibly responsive and helpful, always willing to jump on a quick call to problem-solve/ideate to ensure we had absolute clarity and confidence. We would love to work with Ana again in the future.
