Using AI as a creative partner to craft a complete brand video experience for a boutique skincare brand

Overview
Sayuri is a boutique skincare brand rooted in science, sensory awareness, and natural rejuvenation. Initially, I supported the brand with design, but our shared enthusiasm for AI soon turned the project into an experiment: how could AI meaningfully enhance Sayuri’s brand expression. From messaging and product storytelling to emotional tone, we explored its role — and after working with copy and static visuals, we moved into something more ambitious: motion.
The result is a fully-formed brand video experience — used by Sayuri on their own website and ready, if desired, to serve as a living brief for a future film crew. The video tells Sayuri’s story both emotionally and tangibly, highlighting three core offerings: the beauty studio experience, self-practice lessons at home, and the three cosmetic lines.
Process
This project brought together AI tools and creative direction to produce a cinematic brand piece:
Narrative & tone: Shaping the storyline, emotional pacing, and visual language to align with Sayuri’s identity.

After Effects & Premiere Pro — assembly and refinement
Astra — slight video enhancement
Iterative game-like workflow: A blend of the "main goal" (final composition), “side quests” (storyboarding, voice emotion tuning, visual transitions) and "logical puzzles" (prompt refinement) — a process as playful as it was strategic.
Result
This AI brand video experience delivers a cinematic, on-brand story for Sayuri — one they actively use on their website today. It also serves as a ready-made living brief should they decide to develop a live-action version in the future.
